Unus Mundus
A collaboration between DiipSilence and BRIANNA YOUNG.

One World
“Unus Mundus” is Latin for “One World” —a primordial unified reality from which all opposites emerge. The song mirrors Carl Jung’s and Chinese cosmological ideas: that synchronicity, light/dark, dream/reality, observer/observed are all expressions of the same source.

Soundscape & Landscape
The song begins with chopsticks foley—a subtle, tactile sound evoking a watery, dark, cavernous dreamscape. Modular synths and eerie textures shape a mythical space, filled with “creatures from the other universe.”

The Void
Vocals (performed by Brianna) are sound-designed to feel detached and void-like, echoing themes of nihilism and emptiness. The song journeys through structural contrasts:
A dark world - A nihilistic interlude between two realms - A shift toward light and distorted duality - Angelic, fairy-like transcendence - Return to the dark, unresolved.

The Unsolved
Lyrically and sonically, the track questions: What is real? What is dream? It plays with the idea that both might be structured fictions, diverging from the same unknown source. It’s like floating in a lucid dream, fighting gravity while staring into the abyss—and the abyss is harmonizing in reverb-drenched falsetto.
